KCCM is completely organized and run by parent volunteers and volunteers from the Korean-American community. Volunteers help in all areas of camp, both during the planning stages and during the week of camp.
VOLUNTEERS DURING CAMP
In order to keep the camp running and the registration fee low, KCCM uses parent and community volunteers during camp. Please volunteer for the following positions:
- Art Room
- Snacks
- Playground Set up and take down equipment; clean up
- Store Assistant
- Classroom Aide
- Meal preparation / lunch room assistance
- Camp set-up and take-down
- Registration Aide / check-in and check-out assistance
- Anywhere you need me!
As a volunteer you will learn much and will enjoy your time with your children and with the other parents and community volunteers. Your children will appreciate your efforts. You will also ensure that the camp continues for another year. To volunteer, complete the Volunteer page in the registration form. lIf you want to volunteer during camp but will not be registering, please send an email to:

VOLUNTEERS BEFORE CAMP
The volunteers who labor between camps to organize the next camp are the KCCM board of directors, teachers, and volunteers with the various committees (meals, facilities, advertising / publicity, camp program, volunteer recruitment and support, store, etc.). The board is made up of parents and friends of KCCM who have made a two-year commitment to serve in a particular role. The board generally meets several times a year. Teachers of Korean activities work before camp to plan the activities, then teach those activities during camp. We are always looking for teachers, especially members of the Korean-American community who would like to help our children learn more about their Korean heritage.
Each year positions on the Board become vacant, and we need new teachers. Volunteers are asked to step up to fill these positions. Please make it possible for the camp to continue for another year by volunteering for the Board or as a teacher. To volunteer for the board you may sign the sign-up sheet available during camp or email us (at the address above) and tell us what position you are interested in. To volunteer as a teacher, email us.
All adult volunteers must complete a Volunteer Background Check in order to be considered for a volunteer position. This form is included in the registration form on the Registration page. If you want to volunteer but do not want to register campers, you may download the form here. Then fill it out and mail it to the Registrar at the address below.
